You can stroll down the lane (2/10 mile) and access the Causeway and Somes Sound, keep walking another mile and you can climb Flying Mt, go to Valley Cove, and access the other hiking trails. Want to go for a dip? Echo Lake Beach in Acadia is only 3.2 miles away. Also nearby access to the Free Island Explorer Bus. Built in the early 1900’s, this well maintained home will take you back in time and features a large living room with brick fireplace, a nice collection of books, and a piano, dining room which opens to the screened porch, kitchen, laundry room, small den/TV room, bath with shower, and a bedroom with queen bed and half bath. Upstairs is a bedroom with a queen bed and in-room sink, a second bedroom with a queen bed, a bedroom with a double bed, a large sleeping porch with a double bed and two twin beds, a small bedroom with twin bed and desk, and two bathrooms: one with a shower and one with a tub. Outside is a patio and a large lawn for games and gathering.
