Downeaster is part of a small group of cottages and provides an enjoyable getaway to explore Acadia. Located on the quietside of MDI closer to the lakes, ponds, Bass Harbor lighthouse, and Acadia’s Seawall area, but still not far from shopping in Bar Harbor, the Park Loop and Carriage Roads. The cottage offers an open main room with a fully-equipped kitchen, dining area, the ambience of a gas fireplace, and a living area with twin sleep sofa. There is also a bedroom with queen bed, and a full bath. Up the spiral stairs to the sleep loft with two twin beds. Relax on the covered porch, there is even a gas grill and picnic table for outside cooking and dining.
