Sweet spot on MDI's quieter side. Close to Bass Harbor Lighthouse, Acadia National Park trails, Seawall picnic area, and an Island Explorer stop.
This home has two levels. The 1st floor has a full kitchen with a nook area to sit with a coffee and watch hummingbirds. It has an open living room and dining area. Enjoy the back deck from either the master bedroom or living room. You can often catch deer traveling from one side of the property to the other. The main bedroom has a king bed, tv, its own full bathroom and door to deck. This floor also has a bedroom w/twin bed, laundry room and another full bathroom. Off the kitchen is a mudroom that leads to a small side deck w/gas grill and small sitting area.
The lower level has two bedrooms, one with a twin bed and the other has a queen bed. The downstairs has a full bathroom, a large room with smart tv/Roku set up. Enjoy the cooler temperature downstairs or head out the day light basement door to the backyard with fire pit. We have a few outdoor toys including a basketball hoop.
Nearby...there are several restaurants and local take outs. Bass Harbor offers tours of the outer islands with fishing, lobster tours and sightseeing options. There are several lakes nearby where you can swim, try paddleboarding or kayaking. Two Acadia Nat'l Park trails, ship harbor and wonderland are 1 mile away. There are several mountains to hike and of course you are a 10 minute walk (no parking hassles) to the beautiful Bass Harbor Lighthouse where you are bound to catch a beautiful sunset. Bass Harbor is on the "quiet" side of Mt Desert Island, enjoy a day trip to Bar Harbor and then relax and enjoy just being here!
